If you have a request for a particular category for, say, another game system, please post in this thread.

Just a reminder to put up the new forum, "Living Forgotten Realms" when you have a moment to spare.

Thanks :)

I would suggest a game system forum for some of the more popular or well known systems other than DnD. Not going to try and dictate what they are, but Star Wars , Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu etc. come to mind.

even if they're just placeholders, it will let newcomers to the site know that the site is open to more than Dungeons and Dragons at a glance.

Hello,

What about a forum strand of known retail or online gaming shops (in Australia) that sell D&D then when I have the details (preferably email details) I can contact them to try to have them promote the Australian RPG Dungeon. Given that you don't object Nathan.

Happy days,

Anton.

perhaps a Living Greyhawk forum for those rounding off those games?

Also - Aussie gaming conventions could possibly do with a mention on here.

Either as : new category "conventions" --> each con as sub-forums --> as many threads per con as you like
or even just General --> Conventions Sub-forum --> one thread per con

Great suggestions guys. I'll add in the systems you mentioned, Chez, and if you have any other ideas for popular ones then I'll add those too. if it gets too busy I can break things into subforums.

Anton, feel free to ask if a store wants their own forum. I've been meaning to do it but work & coding is keeping me pretty busy right now :) I do appreciate the help :)

Just with regards to Cons, the ones I've looked up in Melbourne are:

Unicon - 4 to 5 October, 2008
Arcanacon - 23 to 26 January, 2009
Conquest - 10 to 13 April, 2009

There's also Dwarfcon, Retrocon and Fauxcon (Regional Vic), but none of them seem to have announced dates for 2008/09.

There's gencon (www.genconoz.com) but it's in Brisbane and we all know Brisbane doesn't matter :P

Also - should the Meetingplace forum be subdivided by state? Might make it a bit cleaner for people looking for games.

And then we could have cross-forum state wars!

Kzach immediately launches a nuclear strike against Queensland. :D

Actually a fair bit going on in the private forums.

Virtually zip going on in the public ones though.

Not quite sure that was what you were asking though...

yeah, actually more meant regarding stuff like discussion of australian cons and dividing up the meeting place into state based subforums. One reason i think some people still staying over at meet up is that it is region specific.
