Private Groups are forums on this site that are created for gaming groups. They are created just for you and for your players to discuss your game privately (or publically, if you wish).

If you're a GM and run a regular game, I will provide you with a private forum for your group, and give you full control over that forum with moderator access so you can manage the people who have access to it, and manage stickies etc.

How do I get my own private group?

Simply post Silke an PM with the name of the group you would like. The following things will happen.

He'll create the private forum with your preferred name (if available). You will be marked as a Moderator for that forum.

A new usergroup will be created with you as the leader. Members of this usergroup will be given permission to post as normal users to your private forum.

How do I manage my private Usergroup?

To manage your usergroup, you will need to go to your User Control Panel and go to the Usergroup -> Manage Groups screen. (Click on the link for a shortcut to the correct screen - it won't work if you can't manage any groups).

Once everything is configured, I will send a PM back to confirm. Enjoy

Please note that administrators do have access to your private forum. The only expectation we have is that you not use my boards for any illegal purposes. I won't actively monitor your use, and I would prefer to not have to.

Can people in your private groups be automatically notified of a new thread? As DM I do a write-up of each session which I try to do as soon as possible afterwards but it can not be done for a couple of days sometimes. I want to notify the players of it's existence when it is up and sending a PM or text is getting old.
